We all wish for a younger looking skin everyday. Only if age was a number! It is believed that beauty is a mix of internal and external factors, which is in fact true.
A set of daily practices can help us achieve younger-looking skin 🙂
As we get older, our body goes through various changes, specially hormonally. Our body synthesizes collagen and the older you get the process gets slower.
To boost collagen and get a younger looking skin, I am sharing few beauty hacks with you here-
Obviously the key is consistency!
1. Eat Well

Like I said earlier, beauty & health comes from within first.
So eat well- load up on the green leafy vegetables and add some colourful vegetables as well. Leafy vegetables are high in vitamin A and Vitamin C, two of the most important Vitamins to slow down ageing.
As we age, the absorption of essential vitamin & minerals reduces in our bodies. So we need to up our nutrition game and add good nutritious food to our daily diet.
Make an aim to eat at least one full bowl of salad in your meals. The plus factor of this is that they are low in calorie 😛
Few of my favorite Low calorie dressings are-
2. Eat Good Fats

Ever since fat was demonized, people started eating more sugar, refined carbs and processed foods instead.
The high amount of sugar causes inflammation in our bodies. Good fats i.e. omega 3 fatty acids are good for skin and for overall health. Fats are rightly defined as the superfood for longevity.
Few good sources of fat that we all should add to our diets are- nuts ( ex-walnut, almond, peanut), seeds ( ex- sunflower, pumpkin), Fish, Avocados, Virgin olive oil and ghee. Good fats are rich in antioxidants and minerals.
We all have heard that everyone is being deficient in Vitamin D and especially people who stay in colder places. For our body to absorb Vitamin D, we need essential fats in our system.
We all can agree that Miranda Kerr looks phenomenal at this age too! Her secret is generous amount of ghee on her gluten free toast 🙂
My favorite ghee with himalyan pink salt-
3. Hydrate & Breathe

Water solves everything! It is rightly said that water is an essential element to keep our body running. We all have heard about people drinking gallons of water for flawless skin and the thought of drinking that much of water has made us sick.
As per science, there is no fixed amount that one needs to drink. Each body is different and we should listen to our body and hydrate accordingly.
The rule of thumb is to make water your go to drink and remember to load up on fruits & vegetables as they provide hydration to our body as well.
Breathe in & Breathe out- it is as simple as that. Include some basic workout in your daily routine.
It could be as simple as simple breathing exercises to calm you and increase your endorphins. Happy you inside is happy you outside!

4. Exfoliate

We all have heard that when we sleep our body repairs our cells and heals us. Similarly we need to to create a turnover of cells externally as well. I am sharing few ways that you can create a exfoliating routine for yourself.
Dry brushing is one of the best daily routines to stimulate blood flow and get rid of dead cells. Tons of models swear by this routine. It is as simple as running a dry brush over your body before shower.
In addition to the above, do not forget to exfoliate your body using salts & scrubs once a week. This will increase get rid of old skin cells and help promote healthier skin cells.
For face, i would personally recommend gentle exfoliators or once in a week chemical exfoliation. There are various acids available in the market and are gentle on your skin.
Sharing few favorites of mine-
5. Add Vitamin A & C in your skincare

I mentioned earlier that Vitamin A & C are your best friends when it comes to younger looking skin. So when we eat thr right food we take care of thesevitamins internally but we do need these externally as well.
Adding these essential Vitamins in your skincare will give you an extra glow. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin production, smoothes wrinkles and helps fight acne.
There are various retinol creams & Serums available in the market. You should start using retinol in the mid-20s to gee the maximum effect out of them.
Vitamin C on the other hand promotes collagen production, diminishes fine lines and is essential for firm, youthful skin.
It also helps to clarify and brighten your skin tone. It is truly called the holy grail of skincare routine.
Few serums that I swear by-
6. Moisturize, Moisturize & Moisturize

The Skin in general very sensitive to environmental changes- dust, pollution temprature etc. It is essential to moisturize our body as well as our face.
While you hydrate yourself internally, it is important to hydrate externally as well.
Chose the right moisturizer as per your skin needs. We can have an extremely dry skin on our body and extremely oily skin on our face. So choose wisely!
Moisturizing helps the skin to stay supple and youthful. It helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and creates a barrier when you step outside.
Try to get a moisturizer which has SPF in it. Wearing a sunscreen protects our skin from further damage. It creates an even skin tone & reduces early signs of aging.
Few tested & tries Moisturizers with Spf-
7. Sleep & Reset

Like i mentioned earlier, sleep is the time when our body rejuvenates itself. It replcaes the dead cells and produces new cells. So make your bedroom a holy space for relaxing.
Sleeping in an environment which relaxes you is very important for your body as well as your mind. Spray some essential oils to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Another pro tip for sleep is to use silk sheets and pillow cases. Silk reduces friction while you sleep.
This results in beautiful mane with younger-looking skin.
