” I don’t want to book cheap international flights for my holiday”- said no one ever!
I’ve written a detailed guide on HOW to look for cheapest flights, but I’d like to touch base and expand on WHERE to find them.
Why should you look for cheap international flights? Well, apart from the obvious reason where you save money there are a few others. The aim of taking a flight is to get you from destination A to B. Unless you’re a person who likes to travel business or first class, you probably don’t want to pay more than you need to for a crappy seat in the economy class anyway.
Let’s be honest here, no one LOVES long-haul economy flights. The one thing you can do to quell your dissatisfaction is to simply find a way to pay less for it. Money saved can be used on staying an extra few days at your desired destination, and who, pray, who doesn’t want that?
I’ve gone through the trouble of looking at the cheapest, reliable platforms so you don’t need to!
Here goes in my order of preference the best places to find cheap international flights:
#5 CheapOAir – Best For Cheap International Flight Deals
Best known for their monthly and seasonal flight, hotel and rental deals, this is one platform you can almost always find an offer running.
It’s an easy to use, customer friendly platform which offers a price match guarantee to offer you the lowest prices across the world.

#4 Cheap Flights– Best For Customized Flight Deals Based on Region
A part of the Kayak group, cheap flights is a meta search engine and travel aggreggator.
These fancy terms simply means that it scorches thousands of websites for the best flight deals. What I love about the website is that you can browse deals by destinations, a feature that is usually limited in other platforms.
It also has it’s international counterparts customized by geography such as India, US, UK, APAC, Middle East etc with individual country based websites.

#3 KIWI – Best for Flight Guarantees
I came across this while researching on my travel hacking articles, and boy, was I pleased with what I found!
Kiwi has the following features that I absolutely love:
- Price Alerts– I travel at least once a year between Germany and India, and for this reason this feature is PURE Gold. I can book when I know the price is the season’s best thanks to the precious alerts!
- Search Anywhere– Similar to Skyscanner’s ‘Search Everywhere’ feature, this allows you to look at a glance flights to anywhere in the world. If you’re flexible with your travel, nothing is better than that!
- KIWI Booking Guarantee– The satisfaction that if your flight is delayed or changed you will be refunded or arranged a new flight, that’s everything!

#2 Airfare Watchdog – Best For Low Price Alerts & Money Saving Tips
Another recent favorite, but one that’s fast gaining entry in my top 3, Airfare Watchdog is well exactly what it says.
I love the fact that not only is it a great platform to hunt cheap international flights but also has a kick ass travel blog alongside. You can find travel tips, the best travel credit cards and all around great information on booking your travel.
Make sure to sign up for the low fare price alerts!
#1 Skyscanner – Best All Around Platform
If I could only pick one platfrom (which I never do), cause I need to check at least 3 or 4 places before I make up my mind, it would be Skyscanner.
There’s really nothing not to like about Skyscanner. It has a fast loading, pleasing to look at and easy to use platform with features such as ‘Search Everywhere’ and the most up to date information on booking cheap international flights.
Skyscanner also has a very inspiring blog for upcoming travels and includes some excellent travel hacking ideas.
